The investment area V. The city of Bielsko-Biała Bielsko-Biała is in the southern part of the Province of Silesia at the foot of the Beskid ¦l±ski and Mały. It is the capital of the region called Podbeskidzie. Consequently, the development of tourism and protection of values and resources of the natural environment is one of the basic tasks of the city developmental strategy. There are 180,000 inhabitants and 113, 000 ones of working age in Bielsko-Biała. The city is one of the most energetically developing economic centers in the country. The attractive location and communication accessibility, significant regional job potential, big production potential (mainly industrial), good life conditions, landscape values, good tourist and recreational infrastructure are the advantages of the region creating vast developmental opportunities. The distances from Bielsko-Biała to Warsaw, Vienna and Budapest are similar. The city is the junction of important road and rail routes. There is a sports airport suitable for small airplanes.
