Employment structure and education

In Sosnowiec there are Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University of Silesia and Faculty of Earth Sciences, Faculty of Technology and Faculty of Philology, the University of Silesia. Business Language College, Foreign Languages College for Teachers. The private sector is represented by the University of Marketing and Management. In the city there are 16 tertiary schools, 8 secondary schools and 19 grammar-schools.
